The Child Abuse Prevention Center is Orange County's largest nonprofit dedicated solely to the prevention of child abuse. Last year, the Center served over 10,000 people intensively in their homes to help them heal and give them support for a brighter future.
Our Ragnar runners run 200 miles to help us give every child in Orange County a bright future and a great start in life. Every child deserves a safe and nurturing home free from abuse, neglect, and instability to help them reach their greatest potential.
As a runner, I am trying to raise money for this worthy cause. I am running for Andre, a single father who lived in his car with his 5-year-old twin girls until our programs intervened. I am running for Paloma, a single mom at UCI with a baby, a full-time job, and a full time student status who is overwhelmed by the curve balls life has thrown her. I am trying to make a difference in their lives. $0.91 of every dollar donated will help our programs run full speed ahead to help children and families who come to us for help.
